After losing my conference virginity at ThinkVisibility courtesy of Dixon Jones and the guys at MajesticSEO I was excited to hear about the Manchester SEO Mini Conference organised by Pete Young (nice guy who I met at ThinkVisibility). As I am currently working in Manchester at Just Search I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet people in the area that work in the same industry.

The schedule for the half day event looks very promising and draws some big name speakers such as: Nichola Stott, Barry Adams, Kevin Newman and Neil Walker (my boss).

2:00 – 2:10 Welcome to Manchester SEO – Introduction from Peter Young
2:10 – 2:55 Nichola Stott – The Business of Search: An Insider Perspective on the Search Engine Business and How This Shapes Our Approach
2:55 – 3:00 Break
3:00 – 3:45 Barry Adams – Optimising for Google News
3:45 – 3:50 Break
3:50 – 4:35 Kevin Newman – The psychology of successful link building
4:35 – 4:40 Break
4:40 – 5:25 Neil Walker – Forecasting for SEO
5:25 – 5:30 Closing by Peter Young

The After Party

The after party is at the rather funky looking Walrus bar in Manchester with a free bar (while stocks last) for conference attendees (don’t forget your badge!)

Want To Go?

Unfortunately all of the tickets are now sold (they were free!) out. But you can join us at the Walrus afterwards for some #mancseo geekery and networking, or alternatively follow the #mancseo tag on Twitter to be there virtually.
